Evelien’s love of art, music and films shines through in everything she produces. It is that love and respect for the performers she works with that makes her give 100% of herself to any project she takes on. She is tireless. A perfectionist, Evelien will not hand over her final edit until she is content that she has gotten the most out of the material and has shown the artist in their best light. Like most performers, I am uncomfortable having my creative process documented and allow very few people into my work environment but I trust Evelien.

I've had the pleasure of working with Evelien as a Producer for marketing/promo shoots ranging from a $10K-$100K budget while at NBCUniversal. No matter the budget, Evelien holds herself and the crew to a high standard and is able to quickly understand the overall creative vision and actively collaborate and execute on it. She also has the unique ability to establish a great rapport with talent and draw out the best from them. I can honestly say that Evelien is the only Producer I would (and did) hire to oversee shoots without my presence. More recently, I have worked with Evelien as a Photographer for press events for a cooking startup I head up marketing for. Having worked with Evelien in the past, I was lucky to think of her and Suburban Outlaw Productions when I got into a jam. Producing a series for PBS we lost an episode producer weeks before major shooting for the series began, I needed someone who could step in and take "ownership" of a few episodes on short notice. Suburban Outlaw Productions was seamless from pitching us potential stories and talent through locking in production details in three cities. Evelien fed us time saving workflow options and a wide range of talent to book from in pre-production. She worked on set not only when shooting her episodes, but in support of others as well and finally provided us with detailed notes during post. I'd initially hired Evelien to take holiday photos of my 4 year old son last year. After a brief discussion about my ideas, she immediately sent over some interesting suggestions on locations for our photo shoot. I was really excited about our final choice, Central Park! It was a perfect 60 degree day in November, 2014. My son Louis, goddaughter Kristen, and I enjoyed time together simply playing and enjoying the fresh air, while Evelien captured the most precious photos. I expressed to her on that very day, that it had been one of the greatest gifts of my life. She candidly documented such beautiful moments for my family to forever appreciate. 

After my family lost our beloved dog Tyla this past August, I knew I wanted some distinct photos that would include our other fur baby, Spike.  I knew exactly who I would ask! Evelien, always smiling and keeping things relaxed, came to our home and again, captured the love of our unique family.  Louis and Spike were laid-back since we took the photos in such an informal way. The fact that Evelien was able to successfully manage my 5 year old son and 104 pound pit bull was amazing to watch; no fuss, no stress!  The outcome was heartwarming and treasured. I only wish I had thought to do this while my Tyla was still here. 

When I needed my annual holiday photos done this year, without hesitation, I called Evelien. This time, we came to her and she created a festive background for my son's pictures! Even though Louis was cranky and difficult, Evelien somehow manipulated great photos!  I will continue to use Evelien for all of my family photographs and highly recommend her for any of your family members, whether they walk on two legs or four. She is both personable and professional and will leave you with amazing memories no matter what the scenario!

I had the pleasure of working with Evelien on a photo shoot with my Grandsons 11 and 13.

I was specific that I didn't want formal shots - with them in matching clothing and fresh haircuts. I wanted the 'real' them. I wanted them in clothes they selected and comfortable enough that their personalities showed through. 

She nailed it.

My older guy is sweet warm and loving. His expression was soft and his kindness showed - it was who he is. My younger grandson is a bit of a ham. Always fooling around and somewhat outrageous in his thinking. He's straight up no matter if his opinion is appropriate or not. She absolutely captured his 'wise guy' personality - along with his warm and fuzzy side.

She handled 2 teen boys with ease and made them feel comfortable and confident. Evelien treated them with the same professionalism as she would if they were her celebrity clients.

I love the photos and it was a painless process with exceptional results. Evelien is a true professional.

My husband and I have 2&1/2 months old baby and Evelien gave us great direction on how to pose with the baby and helped us understand which setting works and which doesn't. She listened to our preferences and was quite understanding of our esthetics/style. At all times she put comfort of our baby first and was extremely professional.
